Vacation

I find it crazy just how fast a week without classes can go by compared to week filled with classes.  We got Wednesday-Sunday off for Thanksgiving just this last week and I couldn’t believe just how short it seemed!  I am a full time student but I also have a job and work about 30 hours a week so my vacations are never really all that relaxing but who doesn’t love having a week without classes? Now of course just because we don’t have classes doesn’t mean that we don’t have homework.  In fact it always seems that the majority of our semesters work is jammed into the few weeks right after we get back from break.  This of course means that us students get stuck doing homework all our vaction!  Overall though this last break was pretty good.  It’s always nice to get a little extra time to spend with the family.

Day Off

Today I had the day off from everything, no work or classes! It’s a once in a lifetime occurrence but hey I’ll take it.  Anyways what a perfect day to have off.  The sun was shining and it was absolutely gorgeous outside.  I have 2 tests tomorrow so I didn’t spend too much time enjoying the sun but I certainly did enjoying being able to relax, even if it was only for a second.  Being a college student that doesn’t happen all that much and I think that I speak for all college students when I say that sometimes we just need a break!  College can get so stressful sometimes and we lose ourselves in our work, never actually getting that second to really enjoy life.  But I have to say, getting to take a breather today was the highlight of my weak!

The Ideal Monday Morning…..Not

Brrr!! Sitting in class freezing to death is not what I had planned for a Monday morning!  Getting up before it’s even light out and having to crawl myself out of my warm comfy bed just to go to class and then sitting there freezing!  I guess it’s a cheap way to keep us awake during a couple of hours of lecture cause that sure is fun.  After my 8 am class I have to walk all the way across campus, common I already have to freeze is it really neccissary to make me have to freeze sitting in class too?  I did stay awake in class I can say that, but boy sitting there shaking back and forth in my seat isn’t my ideal Monday morning

It’s crazy how many different ways companies can market their products.  I mean who doesn’t at least see one advertisment each and everyday? I was working on a presentation this weekend about marketing for my marketing class and I was reading about how there are so many different steps marketers have to go through to make a good advertisment.  It seems crazy that they spend so much time working on it, especially creating a tv commerical! I know I can’t be the only one who absolutely hates commercials! I turn the channel the second the commercial comes on.  But hey I guess all the time they spend and all the money they spend are worth it cause I sure do want a burger from McDonald’s every time I hear “i’m lovin’ it.”  There are so many different things that the marketers have to think about when they go about making an advertisment.  I mean they even have to think about each tarket audience they want to reach and then what time they want the commercial to be shown or what type of advertising they want to use.  It’s a huge process!!  But hey if it gets us to buy their product then I guess it must be worth it right?
